Since Xiaomi is known as the budget king, this time Mi has tried to break the 40k segment with Mi 10T Pro with 108mp camera and 144hz refresh rate and a bigger battery.
Mi 10T Pro was launched around October 30, 2020, so did Mi had cut areas to get this mobile at the segment of 3ok. We put this flagship to our testing.
Mi 10T pro comes with many upgrades in the terms of design as well as downgrades. Coming to the in-hand feel as soon as you hold the mobile, you can feel that’s a bulky weighing mobile around 220 grams. But this mobile does not feel cheap, the in-hand feel of this mobile is a lot premium comparing to many mobiles. The mobile also comes with a huge camera bump which, feels weird while placing on a flat surface since the mobile lifts from sides and feels wobbly. The top comes with an IR blaster, the right side comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and volume buttons and the bottom of the phone holds up the Type -C charging point and dual speakers.
So, overall the phone feels premium to hold given the bulkiness of mobile and does not slip away from your hands easily.
The main area of this mobile was the display where Mi has shown many improvements. Mi has used an advanced LCD display instead of an AMOLED screen, to be honest, the screen feels so good given its colors and brightness in day-light. They decided to go with an LCD and 144hz refresh rate, you heard it right 144hz. Mi uses an adaptive screen that automatically changes the refresh rate based on your uses from 30hz, 45hz, 60hz, 90hz, 120hz to 144hz. which is a great technology to save battery and make the mobile work smoothly.
Really loved the display on this mobile and there were no complaints from my side on day-to-day uses it was working smooth and faster scrolling was done with ease.
Now coming to the main thing anyone would want is performance to be good in a mobile and Mi 10T Pro is in no way left behind compared to other flagships. It comes with a powerful snapdragon 865 SOC and it is blazing fast in opening apps and running apps in the background.
I had tried many games like PUBG , Call Of Duty on max graphics and it was smooth giving me a max of 90 fps and sounds running in the background. I even tried editing many videos on 4k and it was able to do with good speed and smoothly.
although while doing all this for more than an hour the started to heat up but not that bad, it could be handled easily. But yeah there was heating I face while doing it other than that no complaints.
The Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro packs in a triple camera setup consisting of a massive 108-megapixel primary sensor with OIS and an f/1.69 aperture, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with a 123-degree field of view, and a 5-megapixel macro camera. The photos taken with a 108mp camera were just mind-blowingly good. The number of details and light captured in the daylight was amazing. The wide-angle camera does not capture as much light as the primary one, and I found photos taken in the same conditions to be a bit darker. Low-light camera performance was good, and the phone’s AI was quick to set the camera up. I found close-up shots to be very detailed with well-defined edges and a soft blur to the background. The macro camera managed crisp shots with good details. And this mobile is capable to capture 8k video which was good but the heating was excessive while 8k. Overall the camera is great and is amazing in day-light .
